Maronite Youth Conference 2005

The Youth Directors of the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon and of the Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn wanted this year’s conference to be a special one, and so they found a place that will call the young people to life.  This is a personal invitation to all Maronite youth around the country to gather for the annual youth conference to be held in Plymouth, Michigan from July 6—10.  This year’s conference will focus on the Spirit of the Youth to live out our Maronite Identity.

The place is great.  The environment is perfect for contemplation and for those discerning a call to the priesthood or religious life.  As a bonus, each room is equipped with its own closet and bathroom and you do not need to bring extra linens or bedding.  Please travel light as it will make the trip more exciting.

It was decided to keep things in the program that were very beneficial for our faith and lives.  The talks will be exciting and relevant for today.  It is preferred that all youth are appropriately dressed for the conference talks, liturgies and dining facilities.  We will need to bring sneakers and sweats to play sports along with a swimsuit and beach towel.  The facility has a dress code while in the building so please be advised.  There will be no alcohol on the premises and if any youth is in need of specific medication they need to mention that in the registration forms.  Medication will be given by a nurse.

There will be the famous dance and pizza party on Friday night and the famous “Hafli” on Saturday night.  We are also planning an outing on Saturday to the lake and a Liturgy at the local parish.

Cost: $200 per person (double occupancy.) $250 per person (single occupancy.)  The Registration Form and a Non-Refundable deposit of $100 for double occupancy or $150 for single occupancy are due by June 7th, 2005.  Balance of payment is due by June 13, 2005.  Applications received after June 20, will be subject to a $50 late fee per person

No late applications will be allowed after FRIDAY, juNE 24, 2005.

Please check with Fr. Peter to get your registration form.
