40 Day Memorial Divine Liturgy
was held on Sunday, October 15th,
at 9:00a.m., at St. Joseph Maronite Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
Our
beloved parishioner,
Dr. Patrick John Doran’s
family. Patrick went to his eternal reward on Monday,
July 17th,
2006, at Wesley Woods after an extended illness.
Pat
was a member of St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church. He is
survived by his brother Dennis Michael Doran of Atlanta.
The family received friends at A.S. Turner & Sons,
on Thursday, July 20th,
2006, from 6 until 8 in the evening, with the Rosary Service at
7:30 p.m.
The Funeral Liturgy was held at 11:00 a.m. on
Friday, July 21st,
2006, at St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church, Atlanta. After
the burial in Decatur Cemetery, a mercy meal reception was held
in St. Joseph’s parish hall.
40 Day Memorial Divine Liturgy
was held on Sunday, September 3rd,
at 9:00a.m., at St. Joseph Maronite Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Thomas Isaf’s
family. Evelyn went to her eternal reward on
Monday, July 17th,
2006.
Tom is survived by Rowanda Maloof Isaf, his
loving wife of 57 years; his children, Fred and wife, June, of
Atlanta, Lou and wife, Robin, of Atlanta, Jim and wife, Ailene,
of Seattle, Washington, and Steve and wife, Cynthia, of Atlanta;
12 grandchildren: Julie, Thomas, Nassir, Justin, Christa,
Haley, Jessica, Lindsey, Robert, Katherine, Nicholas, and
Michael; his two sisters, Helen Hobbib of Holland, Pennsylvania,
and Yvonne Lawless of Syracuse, New York; his mother-in-law,
Adeline Maloof of Copperhill, Tennessee; and numerous
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family received friends at H.M. Patterson
Oglethorpe Hill Chapel, Atlanta, on July 18th,
2006, from 6 until 8 in the evening, with the Rosary Service at
7:30 p.m.
The Funeral Liturgy, in accordance with the
Maronite Catholic Rite, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday,
July 19th,
at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Atlanta. After the burial in
Arlington Memorial Park, a mercy meal was held in St. Jude’s
parish hall.

was held on Sunday, August 27th,
at 11:00a.m., at St. Joseph Maronite Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Najm’s
family. Nemr went to his eternal reward on

2006.
Nemr is survived by his wife, Henriette Najm; sons, Elie Najm,
Marcel Najm, Julian Najm; daughter, Graziella Boulus; 6
grandchildren; and sister, Angel Richa.
The family
received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., and the Prayer Service
was held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28th,
2006, at H.M. Patterson & Son, Arlington Chapel.
The
Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Saturday, April 29th,
at St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia, at 11:00
a.m., followed by interment at Arlington Memorial Park, and a mercy
meal.

Evelyn Ashkouti’s
family. Evelyn went to her eternal reward on
Tuesday, January 17th,
2006.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Joseph Albert Ashkouti, who
died on March 16th,
1970. She was a member of the Cedar’s Club of Atlanta for over 50
years. She is survived by two sons, Albert M. Ashkouti, his wife,
Diane; Gerald J. Ashkouti, his wife, Jan; a daughter Diane A. Domit,
her husband, Mitchell, and ten grandchildren. She is also survived
by two sisters, Rosalie D. Elkourie, Isabel D. Mansour, and
sister-in-law, Mable Deraney.
The family
received friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., and the Rosary Service
was held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19th,
2006, at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel.
The
Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Friday, January 20th,
at St. Joseph Maronite Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia, followed
by a mercy meal in the church hall.

went to his eternal reward on August 23rd,

at St. Sharbel Maronite Church in Ottawa, Canada.

parishioner,
Norma Doran’s
family. Norma went to her eternal reward on
Monday, April
25th,
2005 at Emory University Hospital.
Norma Ruth Rose Doran was born August 24th,
1921 at Salem Corners, MN in the upstairs bedroom of a farm house
and spent her youth in the mid-west. She graduated from Rochester
High School in 1939. During World War II she worked producing bomb
sites for the war effort. She and her husband resided in Fenton, MI
for several years. They moved to Atlanta in 1958. Her talents were
in may areas. She enjoyed gardening, wood carving, copper working,
water aerobics and her favorite, adventures in eating. In the late
sixties she worked in the German Shepherd Assoc. of Atlanta and was
the founder of Shagidor Kennels. She did extensive work with the
Atlanta Humane Society for many years and was a huge animal lover
caring for up to eleven cats in her later years. She worked for
over fifty years with the mentally handicapped and challenged. At
the age of 60 she returned to school and attended Ga. State
University adult classes in literature. Recently at the age of 83
she returned to Emory University adult classes in literature.
During her life she was deeply involved with the Catholic Church,
the last thirty-five years at St. Joseph’s Maronite Catholic
Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two
years, John James Doran and is survived by her sons, Dennis Michael
Doran and Patrick John Doran both of Atlanta.
The family
received friends from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 27th,
2005, with the Rosary Service at 6:15 p.m. at A.S. Turner & Sons.
The
Funeral Liturgy was celebrated on Thursday, April 28th,
at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Maronite Church.

family. Yousseff, father of Milad abou Khaled, went
to his eternal reward on Monday, June 7th,
2004, in Lebanon.

Lucille Barbara Najjar’s
family. Lucille went to her eternal reward on
Tuesday, June 22nd,
2004.
Lucille
Najjar, born November 19th,
1932. She is survived by daughter Laura Najjar Maloof, son-in-law
Marion Najjar, son Joseph Najjar, daughter-in-law Elaine,
grandchildren Marie, Catherine, Annie, Lauren and Tyler, sister Eva
Solomon, niece and nephew, Elizabeth Rumanes Chebib, and Gary
Solomon. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Najjar,
brother Joseph Simon and sister Elizabeth Rumanes.
A Memorial Liturgy was celebrated on Thursday, June
24th,
at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Maronite Church

Simon Rumanes of Atlanta, born October 11th.
She is survived by daughter Elizabeth rumanes-Chebib, grandchildren
Kalie Rose Chebib and Emily Elizabeth Chebib, son-in –law, Antoine
Chebib, sisters, Eva Solomon and Lucille Najjar, niece and nephews,
Laura Najjar Maloof, Joseph Najjar and Gary Solomon. She was
preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Simon.
The family
received friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., and the Rosary Service
was held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28th,
2004, at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel.
